Airport pickup in Vietnam: where to meet your driver at 5 airports

This guide brings together how airport pickups work at the 5 airports we serve regularly: Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc. Each airport sets its own rules for pickup lanes and stopping time. Below is what applies to all five, with links to the detailed guide for each one. Updated October 2026.

How an airport pickup with Car Rental Vietnam works

1. Book: send a request through the quote form with your flight number, arrival date, number of adults and children, number of suitcases and destination.
2. Confirmation: you receive the driver's name, phone number and plate before your flight. The contract is signed by both sides; an 8% VAT invoice is available.
3. Flight tracking: the driver follows your actual landing time in an app. If the flight is late, the driver waits and there is no airport waiting fee.
4. Meeting: the driver holds a name sign in the public arrivals hall and helps you take your bags to the car in a permitted pickup lane.
5. Ride: chauffeur quotes already include fuel and tolls.

Why you meet in the hall, not at the kerb

Every airport limits how long cars may stop in front of the terminal. At Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc the limit is about 3 minutes. At Noi Bai, since 3 August 2026, cars may stop for up to 5 minutes and drivers must stay within 2 m of the car. So your driver waits for you in the hall, while the car waits in the holding area and only enters the pickup lane once you are at the door.

Choosing a vehicle by luggage

Count your suitcases before you book, because luggage often decides the vehicle size. Typical capacity in our 2022–2025 fleet:

• 4-seater: about 3 suitcases.
• 7-seater: about 4 suitcases.
• 16-seater and 9 or 11-seat limousine: 6–8 suitcases.
• 19-seat limousine and 29-seat coach: 18–22 suitcases.
• 45-seat sleeper coach: 38–40 suitcases.

Tell us about strollers, golf bags or boxes when you book. Child seats are available on request; give the child's age and weight.

What to send when you book

• Your flight number (for example VN 251), not only the time. It tells the driver your terminal and actual landing time.
• The name to print on the sign.
• A phone number with WhatsApp, Zalo or Viber that works when you land.
• Your destination, with the hotel name and full address.
• Number of suitcases, strollers and any child seat needs.

Tips after baggage claim

• Join the free airport Wi-Fi and message your driver as soon as you have your bags.
• Walk out to the public arrivals hall and look for your name sign; do not follow touts at the exit.
• Check the plate against your confirmation before loading bags.
• If you cannot find each other, stay at a numbered pillar and send the number to the driver.

No. The driver tracks your actual landing time and waits, with no airport waiting fee.

Where will the driver stand?

In the public arrivals hall with a name sign. The exact pillar or exit is messaged to you before landing, because airports change their layouts from time to time.

What does a chauffeur quote include?

Fuel, tolls and the driver. Self-drive rentals exclude fuel and tolls.
