Overview

Nha Trang is the beach city of Khanh Hoa province, set on Nha Trang Bay with a long beach running along Tran Phu street right in the centre. Visitors combine swimming with cultural sights such as the Cham towers of Po Nagar, Long Son Pagoda and the Stone Church, then spend a day on the islands or at the theme park on Hon Tre Island. Further out are Ba Ho waterfall to the north and Binh Ba Island in Cam Ranh Bay to the south. From Ho Chi Minh City, the eastern North–South expressway makes driving easier than before, ideal for families and groups who want their own schedule and stops on the way.

Best time to visitThe dry season in Nha Trang runs roughly from January to August, when the sea is calm and good for island trips; September to December is the rainy season with possible tropical depressions or storms, so watch the forecast.
