Hong Gai across the Bai Chay bridge
Bai Chay bridge, a cable-stayed bridge with a single plane of cables, links Hong Gai and Bai Chay across the Cua Luc strait. On the Hong Gai side are Ha Long 1 market for dried seafood, Bai Tho mountain and the Quang Ninh Museum, clad in black glass on the waterfront. If you are waiting for a boat, the museum is worth about an hour.
