Administrative changes to know
Since 1 July 2025 this area is Thanh My Tay ward, HCMC (formerly Binh Thanh district).
The two-tier model (province, then commune or ward) applies from 1 July 2025, so old district names no longer appear on new documents. When booking for Landmark 81, old names, new names or a map pin all work.

Many visitors pair Landmark 81 with Saigon Zoo and the Le Van Duyet tomb in one afternoon. The zoo, opened in 1864 and one of the oldest in Vietnam, sits at the end of Nguyen Binh Khiem street. The tomb of Marshal Le Van Duyet is about 4 km from Landmark 81. The driver waits at each car park, so there is no need to book several rides.
In the evening the SkyView deck looks over the Saigon River, Thu Thiem bridge and the Thu Thiem area across the water. Afterwards the car takes you downtown or to Nguyen Hue walking street in about 15–20 minutes.
