Administrative changes to know
Since 1 July 2025 the new Tay Ninh combines former Tay Ninh and Long An, with its centre in Tan An.

Dau Tieng lake and heritage
Dau Tieng is a large reservoir east of Tay Ninh with lakeside meadows and camping spots. The Central Office for South Vietnam base in Tan Bien lies in forest, about 60 km from the centre. The new Tay Ninh also includes former Long An, so one trip can link the Holy See and Ba Den mountain with Tan Lap floating village.
