Ba Den Mountain
A national tourist area with cable cars to the 986 m Van Son summit and to the Ba pagodas on the mountainside. At the top there is the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue and walking paths overlooking the plains. Fit visitors can hike the trail, but it takes several hours.
Cao Dai Holy See, Tay Ninh
The centre of the Cao Dai religion, mixing Eastern and Western elements with two bell towers and colourful domes. Visitors may watch the ceremony from the designated upper gallery, not the worship area.
Thien Lam Go Ken Pagoda
A long-established pagoda in Hoa Thanh near the Holy See, with a multi-storey tower and large grounds. Easy to combine in the same morning.
Dau Tieng Lake
A very large irrigation lake with Ba Den Mountain in the background. Visitors come to watch the sunset at the main dam or the lakeside beaches.
Central Office for South Vietnam relic site
A special national relic in the Tan Bien forest, with reconstructed bunkers, offices and structures of the resistance leadership. The path runs under the forest canopy, so wear walking shoes and bring insect repellent.
Lo Go – Xa Mat National Park
Dipterocarp forest and wetlands near the Cambodian border, with grasslands, ponds and many bird species. Contact the park office in advance for the deeper routes.
Long Hoa Market
A big market in Hoa Thanh near the Holy See, selling produce, rice paper, shrimp salt and local food. Handy after visiting the Holy See.
Trang Bang dew-dried rice paper village
Rice paper makers along National Road 22 in Trang Bang, right on the way from Ho Chi Minh City. Stop for rice paper rolls with boiled pork and wild herbs and buy some as gifts.
Tan Lap Floating Village
An eco-tourism site in Tan Phuoc (former Long An) with cajuput forest, a wooden walkway through the trees, a viewing tower and boat rides on the canals. Prettiest in the flood season when the water is covered with duckweed and water lilies.
Lang Sen Wetland Reserve
A typical Dong Thap Muoi wetland in Tan Hung, with lotus fields, cajuput forest and water birds. It is far from Ho Chi Minh City, so better for a two-day trip.

Frequently asked questions
Can I visit Tay Ninh in one day?
Yes, if you focus on Ba Den Mountain and the Cao Dai Holy See. Leave early, reach the Holy See before noon for the ceremony, go up the mountain in the afternoon and return to Ho Chi Minh City in the evening.
How much is the Ba Den cable car?
According to Sun World’s 2026 price list, a return ticket to Van Son summit is 450,000 VND per adult and to Hang Pagoda 250,000 VND per adult, plus a 10,000 VND gate ticket. Prices change by period and promotions are common, so check before you go.
What should I know when visiting the Cao Dai Holy See?
Dress modestly, stay quiet during the ceremony, stand only in the visitor area and ask before photographing dignitaries.
Is Tan Lap floating village in Tay Ninh?
Yes. Since 1 July 2025 Long An has been merged into the new Tay Ninh province, so Tan Lap (former Tan Phuoc) is now in Tay Ninh, although the road from Ho Chi Minh City goes via Tan An rather than National Road 22.
