Administrative changes to know
Since 1 July 2025 Phu Quoc is a special zone of the new An Giang province (former An Giang and Kien Giang). Names such as Duong Dong, An Thoi and Ganh Dau are still used in addresses.
After 1 July 2025 the district level was removed; new addresses show only the commune or ward and the province or city. Locals and drivers still use old names, so for An Thoi write your address as you know it or share a map location.
