Vietnam's main airports tightened kerbside stopping times in 2026. At Nội Bài, cars may stop at the pickup lane for at most 5 minutes from 3 August 2026; Tân Sơn Nhất allows 3 minutes. A new parking fee table also took effect on 1 April 2026. For pre-booked cars, this changes how drivers wait and meet you.
A few minutes is not enough to collect bags and walk out. So a pre-booked driver waits in the car park, tracks your landing, and only comes to the pickup lane or meets you in the hall when you are ready.
Airport parking fees depend on vehicle type and how long it stays. With a chauffeured car booked through us, there is no waiting fee if your flight is late. If you self-drive to collect relatives, park in the car park rather than idling at the kerb.
Passenger numbers climb sharply before Tết and pickup lanes fill up. A clear meeting point and a charged phone shorten the walk to the car.
| Step | You | Driver |
|---|---|---|
| Before the flight | Send flight number, terminal, travellers, suitcases | Confirms name, phone number and car description |
| Landing | Switch on your phone, read the driver's message | Tracks the real landing time, waits in the car park |
| Baggage | Message "got bags" with the exit door | Leaves the car park for the right pick-up lane |
| Meeting | Walk to the lane and find the car | Stops within the permitted time and loads quickly |
| If time runs out | Wait at the agreed door | Circles or returns to the car park and calls |
This keeps the car's time in the lane short, in line with the stopping limits at Nội Bài and Tân Sơn Nhất, without leaving you waiting outside.
Terminal 1 is domestic, Terminal 2 international. Give the right terminal; if you connect from international to domestic, state the final leg. Nội Bài is about 30 km from central Hanoi, usually via Nhật Tân or Thăng Long bridge depending on your destination.
International and domestic terminals are separate; check your ticket. Roads around the airport are often congested, so the driver comes to the lane when you are ready rather than circling repeatedly.
The airport is close to the centre, so beach hotels and Hội An are a short ride. On holidays the lane is crowded; the same message-when-ready method applies.
Expected to open in late 2026; the pick-up process is similar, and the driver will confirm the exact meeting point once it operates.
Stations do not impose airport-style stopping limits, but many passengers arrive at once. Send the train code and carriage; the driver tracks the real arrival and waits at the exit.
Many families take a sleeper one way and fly the other, for example the night train from Hanoi to Huế, sightseeing in Huế, then a flight from Phú Bài or a car to Đà Nẵng airport.
The new parking tariff took effect on 1 April 2026, based on time and vehicle type; keep the receipt if your company reimburses it.
The whole process depends on reaching the driver. Before flying, save the driver's number and install Zalo or WhatsApp if you use them. International visitors should enable roaming or a travel eSIM. If your battery dies, stand at the agreed exit; the driver has your description and will find you. Large groups should name one contact person so not everyone calls at once.
If check-in is not yet possible, have phở for breakfast, then stroll Hoàn Kiếm lake and the Temple of Literature (58 Quốc Tử Giám) before the hotel. Bags stay in the car on an hourly hire.
Rest at the hotel first, then visit Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office in the afternoon.
Hội An is close; many families head straight there and walk the old town in the evening.
Business teams, weddings and reunions often land on several flights in one day. Rather than one large vehicle waiting for the last arrival, split by time:
| Situation | Vehicle plan |
|---|---|
| Flights within an hour of each other | One 16-seater or 9-seat limousine, waiting in the car park |
| Two to three hours apart | Two smaller cars in waves |
| Spread across the day | 4–5 or 7-seaters per flight from a list of flight numbers |
Send a sheet with names, flight numbers, terminals and suitcases, and name a coordinator in touch with the drivers. Luggage guide: about 3 suitcases in a 4–5 seater, 4 in a 7-seater, 6–8 in a 16-seater or 9-seat limousine.
International arrivals often spend longer at immigration, especially when several flights land together. The driver will not leave: timing starts from landing and the driver waits until you message. Tips:
Night and pre-dawn arrivals see quieter pick-up lanes, but you are tired and children are asleep. Tell us in advance so the driver brings a pre-fitted child seat and water and goes straight to the hotel. If the hotel does not allow early check-in, confirm a night arrival with them. The driver still tracks the flight with no airport waiting fee, even at midnight.
Cars cannot linger at the kerb, so the quick way is: once you have your bags, message the driver the nearest pillar or door number; the driver confirms plate and colour; you walk out at that door. A pre-booked driver waits in the designated area until you are ready, with no waiting fee. Save the driver's number and turn on data or airport Wi-Fi as soon as you land.
1–3 passengers: a 4–5 seater; whole families with lots of luggage: a 7-seater or 16-seater (6–8 suitcases). Arriving at Nội Bài? See Nội Bài to central Hanoi.
Choose a car with driver (fuel and tolls included) or self-drive, including VinFast EVs. Every quote is 10% off, and there is no airport waiting fee.
It can be told to leave the lane and dealt with under the airport's rules.
No. We do not charge an airport waiting fee.
The driver waits in the car park and comes to the lane once you have your bags; ask in advance if you want a meet in the hall.
T1 domestic, T2 international; give the terminal on your ticket.
Not as strictly as airports; the driver waits at the exit by the real arrival time.
Send the list of flight numbers; we split cars by landing time so nobody waits long.
Use roaming or a travel eSIM, or Zalo/WhatsApp on airport Wi-Fi.
In the car park until you message that you have your bags.
