Lang Son kept its borders in the 2025 merger. The Hanoi – Bac Giang – Lang Son expressway makes the drive about three hours. If you plan to go up Mau Son, check the weather first: in cold snaps the summit can see frost, and the mountain road is narrow. Dong Dang and the border markets are a short drive from the city. Tell us whether you want a day around Lang Son city, a separate visit to Mau Son or a longer trip with an overnight stay. A morning arrival in the city gives your group time to see a few nearby sights, have lunch and visit a market without moving the car each time someone wants to stop. For a mountain visit, allow a separate block of time and tell us what you would like to do if the road conditions change. For a same-day Hanoi return, pick one main stop and one optional stop, then decide when you need to be back. A group interested mainly in food and shopping might prefer time for a meal and a market rather than a rush to fit in a mountain drive. If you are staying overnight, share the hotel address and tell us whether the booking needs to include local evening trips or only the two intercity legs. If the group wants to shop at Dong Kinh or Ky Lua, choose a time and meeting point that works for the vehicle and all passengers. Busy market entrances can be awkward for picking up several people with bags. Ask the driver where the group can meet after the visit, and send a single message when everyone is ready. If you have young children or older relatives, agree on a nearby place where they can wait while others finish shopping. Give yourself some time to load bags before the next planned stop.
Tell us whether you expect to bring back boxes, gifts or large purchases. For example, four adults starting with overnight bags may fit in one vehicle, while the same group returning with bulky boxes may need more luggage space. Ask how the assigned car is configured and whether the luggage can fit with all passenger seats in use.
