For a first EV rental, learning the actual car matters more than memorising its specifications. Before leaving, ask the handover team to demonstrate the controls, charging port and charger search, then take a short familiarisation drive.
If you leave town early the next day, try a nearby charger first. Check how to start and end a session, release the connector and pay. Agree the return battery level in writing; a charging benefit attached to the owner does not automatically cover every rental.
Each model has its own screen layout, gear selector and drive modes. Please ask our team to show you how to start the car, change gear, use the lights, wipers and air-con, and read the battery level and range.
A quick photo of the battery screen, plus the four corners of the car, makes the return check simple.
The VinFast app's Map section lists charging stations with free bays, power output and directions. Setting it up before you leave saves time later.
Lift off the accelerator and the car slows itself to recover energy. A few slow laps of the car park are enough to get a feel for it.
Full torque arrives the moment you press the pedal, so please ease away gently, especially in car parks and busy areas.
Strong air-con, motorway speeds and a heavy load all reduce range compared with the figure shown at full charge, so we kindly suggest leaving a margin.
Before heading out of town, check the chargers along the way in the app, ideally DC fast chargers at service areas.
Topping up before the battery runs low gives you options if a planned station is busy.
For an early intercity departure, collecting the car the afternoon before gives you time to try a short drive and a charging session. Select the EV for the complete day, including return travel and detours. At handover, practise the charging steps yourself rather than only watching a demonstration.
Early collection is useful when the model is unfamiliar or the following day has a fixed appointment. Ask how handover and instruction are scheduled. Practise locking, selecting drive, reading charge and ending a charging session. If there is no time to become comfortable, compare a chauffeured option for the first trip.

If you would rather not plan charging, the same electric models can be booked with a driver, who handles charging stops for you. Prices with a driver start from 300,000 VND; the quick-quote form works out the fare for your route.
Child seats can be fitted on request. Check boot space if you carry a pushchair plus suitcases; a 7-seat petrol or diesel SUV may suit a large family on a long route.
Ask staff to show the charging port, the cable and how the app reports remaining range. Cars are 2022 to 2025 models and insured.
Return the car with roughly the charge level noted at handover, and photograph the dashboard when you drop it off.
