Ke Ga cape has a lighthouse built by the French in the late 19th century on a small islet near shore, about 30 km south of Phan Thiet. Nearby are Tien Thanh beach and Ta Cu mountain. It is about 170 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Administrative changes to know
Since 1 July 2025 former Binh Thuan joined the new Lam Dong (with former Dak Nong). Ke Ga and Phan Thiet are now in Lam Dong.
The two-tier model (province, then commune or ward) applies from 1 July 2025, so old district names no longer appear on new documents. When booking for Ke Ga, old names, new names or a map pin all work.

From HCMC via the Dau Giay – Phan Thiet expressway, about 3 hours. The lighthouse is reached by boat or on foot at low tide depending on conditions.

Ke Ga lighthouse
Ke Ga lighthouse, built by the French from granite and completed in 1899, stands about 65 m above sea level. You reach it by boat or across the rocks at low tide depending on conditions. The rounded boulders of Ke Ga make good sunrise photos.
Fishing village and beaches
Ke Ga cape in Ham Thuan Nam is about 30 km from Phan Thiet on the DT719 coast road. Thuy Tu fishing village has basket boats and a morning fish market. To the south are Tan Thanh and Tien Thanh beaches, resorts and small dunes. Ke Ga pairs well with Ta Cu mountain (about 20 km) and the Po Sah Inu towers in Phan Thiet.
Lighthouse and the Ke Ga coast
Ke Ga lighthouse stands on an islet about 500 m offshore, built by the French in 1897–1899 of granite, about 35 m tall, with a spiral stair of about 180 steps. At low tide you can wade across; otherwise take a boat. Ke Ga beach has layered rock shelves. It is about 30 km from Phan Thiet and about 50 km south of Mui Ne.
Nearby are Ta Cu with its reclining Buddha and Tan Thanh and Thuan Quy beaches with resorts and golf. Since 2025 the area is in the new Lam Dong province. From HCMC it is about 200 km via the Dau Giay – Phan Thiet expressway, about 3 hours.

The rocks below the lighthouse are slippery with algae, so wear grippy sandals. Boats run with the tide; check times first.

Ke Ga cape has seaside resorts, beach campsites and seafood eateries selling squid, crab and fish from Tan Thanh boats. At dawn fishermen haul coracles ashore on the beach north of the cape. Near the lighthouse, rocks turn green with algae in the dry season, popular for sunrise photos.
