Cam Ranh Airport is not in Nha Trang but on the peninsula to the south, about 40-42 km from Tran Phu beach road. In return, the Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal road is scenic with few bottlenecks. On layovers under 8 hours your actual time in Nha Trang is short, so this guide works out each leg carefully.

About 40-42 km to Tran Phu road, usually 50-85 minutes depending on time and destination. Po Nagar is about 10 km farther.
After immigration, the return buffer and two long legs, you have under about an hour in town. We only suggest it for a short beach loop.
At night you may prefer a hotel and a morning walk on Tran Phu beach; please send your flight times and we will gladly suggest a plan.
