Vinh Airport today: what to know before booking

Vinh International Airport (IATA: VII) sits about 8 km north of central Vinh. After Vietnam's 2025 administrative reorganisation, the airport area belongs to Vinh Hung Ward, Nghe An Province; older maps still show Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City. Either address works for your driver.

The airport was closed from 1 July 2025 for runway repairs and terminal upgrades, and reopened on 19 December 2025. Most flights connect Vinh with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, plus a few other domestic cities. Because arrival times shift, your driver works from the actual landing time, not the time printed on your ticket.

Limousine or airport taxi?

• One vehicle for the whole group. Families of six to nine or a team of colleagues ride together instead of splitting into several taxis.
• Room for luggage. The 9-seat limousine and the 12-seat Solati limousine have a rear luggage area, which helps when you travel with gifts or boxes during Tet.
• Reclining seats for longer legs. Transfers to Ha Tinh, Hong Linh or Ky Anh can take one to several hours, and the seats make that easier for older passengers and children.
• Price agreed in advance. Your quote covers the vehicle, the driver and the road tolls quoted for the route. You don't have to bargain at the kerb.

Choosing a vehicle

Count suitcases first and people second. A car with enough seats but no luggage space means passengers end up holding bags all the way.

Common routes from Vinh Airport

Airport to central Vinh

Around 8 km, usually 15–20 minutes. This suits business travellers heading to hotels near Ho Chi Minh Square or along Quang Trung and Le Loi streets.

Airport to Cua Lo Beach

About 14–15 km along the Vinh–Cua Lo boulevard. Summer is peak season, so book early if you arrive on a weekend between May and August.

Airport to Ha Tinh

This is the route where a limousine helps most. Ha Tinh city is roughly 50–60 km away across the Ben Thuy bridge. For Hong Linh, Can Loc, Cam Xuyen or Ky Anh, send the full address and we'll give you an estimated travel time.

Airport to Nam Dan, Kim Lien and the western districts

Visitors to Kim Lien village, Ho Chi Minh's home village, or travellers heading on to Do Luong, Con Cuong or Pu Mat National Park often book a full day. The driver picks you up at the airport, stops at the sights and drops you at your hotel.

Return trips to the airport

We pick you up at your door and get you to the airport in time for your flight. For domestic flights, plan to arrive about 90 minutes before departure, and allow extra travel time when starting from Ha Tinh.

How booking works

Delayed or changed flights

Your driver follows your flight number and waits for the new landing time. There is no waiting fee. If you switch flights or dates, send us the new flight number and we will reschedule.

How early should I book?

At least one day ahead. For Tet, the 30 April – 1 May holidays and the Cua Lo summer season, book earlier, especially for 12-seat limousines and larger vehicles.

Can several vehicles meet one group?
