The Da Ong Dia seaside park opened on 29 August 2026 at the gateway to the Mui Ne National Tourist Area. It covers more than 1.2 ha in what is now Phu Thuy ward, with trees and flowers, benches, public toilets, free fresh water, a skating area for children and a lifeguard post. Early in the morning you can watch fishermen pull their basket boats ashore.
The dunes are best at sunrise and late afternoon, when the sand is cool and the light is low. The Mui Ne fishing village holds its fish market early; arrive before 7 am to see the basket boats land.
These ancient Cham towers sit on a hill beside the road from Phan Thiet to Mui Ne and are an easy stop on the way, with views over part of the city and the sea.
Lam Dong province has announced a master plan for the Mui Ne National Tourist Area to 2040, with a vision to 2050, so expect more changes to infrastructure and scenery over the next few years.
Three dishes to try are banh canh cha ca (thick noodle soup with fish cake), banh can (small rice cakes) and lau tha (a local fish hotpot). Well-known fish-cake noodle shops include Co Xi, Ba Ly, Co Be and Xuan Ky (Tuyen Quang street). Street numbers are listed inconsistently, so the table only lists matching details.

Main route: from central Ho Chi Minh City take the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, continue on the Dau Giay – Phan Thiet Expressway, exit at Phan Thiet and enter the city. From Phan Thiet to Mui Ne follow Nguyen Thong street past the Lau Ong Hoang slope, then Nguyen Dinh Chieu along Ham Tien beach.
