Administrative changes to know
Since 1 July 2025 former Ba Ria–Vung Tau is part of the new Ho Chi Minh City, so Ho Tram is now in HCMC.
After 1 July 2025 the district level was removed; new addresses show only the commune or ward and the province or city. Locals and drivers still use old names, so for Ho Tram write your address as you know it or share a map location.
Pick-up areas and choosing a vehicle

Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu forest
The Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu nature reserve lies beside Ho Tram, with coastal forest and Binh Chau hot springs about 20 km away, offering soaking pools, egg-boiling in spring water and mud baths. It fits a day out from Ho Tram.
Ho Tram and Ho Coc
Ho Coc beach is about 10 km from Ho Tram with sand and coastal forest; Ho Tram has a fishing village with a pier and seafood market. Resorts line the coast road. From HCMC it is about 2.5 hours via the Long Thanh – Dau Giay and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressways; Sunday afternoons back to the city are busy.
Ho Tram, Ho Coc and Binh Chau
Ho Tram in Xuyen Moc has seaside resorts, The Bluffs golf course and a casino. Ho Coc beach, about 8 km away, has golden sand beside the Binh Chau – Phuoc Buu forest. Binh Chau hot springs have mineral pools and egg-boiling springs. Since 2025 the area is part of the new HCMC after Ba Ria – Vung Tau merged in. From central HCMC it is about 140 km, roughly 2.5–3 hours via the Long Thanh expressway and the coast road.
Planning notes for Ho Tram
The coast road from Vung Tau through Long Hai, Phuoc Hai and Loc An to Ho Tram is about 50 km with seafood places and sea viewpoints. The Loc An estuary has a lagoon and fishing harbour. Ho Tram resorts usually check in from 2 pm, so drivers can stop at Phuoc Hai market for seafood first. On weekends and holidays the return to HCMC gets busy from around 3 pm, so leave early.
